Cloud Cost Room is an independent cloud cost optimization and FinOps advisory. We respect your data the same way we expect cloud providers to respect ours: collect only what is needed, use it only for the stated purpose, and keep it secure.

Who we are

Cloud Cost Room is an independent advisory firm founded in 2019, with offices in Austin, London and Singapore. For any privacy question, or to request access to or deletion of your information, contact us through the contact page.

What we collect

We collect only the information you choose to give us, and a small amount of standard technical data:

• Contact and enquiry details. When you request a cost audit or otherwise contact us, we collect your name, work email, company, and whatever you write in your message.
• Newsletter subscriptions. When you subscribe to The Cloud Cost Brief, we collect your work email.
• Resource downloads. When you download a white paper or other gated resource, we collect the details you submit on the form, such as name, work email and company.
• Technical data. Like most websites, we record standard server and analytics data such as approximate location, device and browser type, and pages visited, to understand how the site is used.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, deliver the resource or newsletter you asked for, send you relevant updates where you have opted in, and improve the site. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with cloud providers or any other third party for their own marketing.

Forms and processing

Forms on this site are processed through Formspree, which passes your submission to us by email. Your submission is subject to Formspree's own processing terms in addition to this policy. We retain enquiry and subscription data only as long as needed to serve the purpose you gave it for, or as required by law.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from The Cloud Cost Brief at any time using the link in any email. You can ask us to show you what information we hold, correct it, or delete it, by contacting us. Where the law gives you specific rights over your personal data, such as under GDPR or comparable regimes, we will honor them.

Cookies and analytics

We use a minimal set of cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to measure traffic and improve the site. We do not use advertising trackers. You can block cookies in your browser without losing access to the content here.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you share with us. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we treat your data with the care we would want for our own.

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent update. Material changes will be reflected here.
